Analysis of practice, supervision

The commitment of therapists to participate in practice analysis/supervision as part of their practice is essential, whether this work is done in a group or on an individual basis.

The half-day groups are aimed at all practitioners in the field of psychotherapy.

Group work enables issues to resonate, transference and counter-transference to be experimented with or staged, and collegial reinforcement to take place.

Analysis of practice has many facets: case studies, exploration of transference and counter-transference, in-depth study of particular themes - addiction, character structure, money in therapy, suffering, transgenerational issues. It is a space for reflection, where therapists can question their practice under a benevolent outside eye. Its main objectives are to help therapists become aware of their emotions in the face of a therapeutic situation, and to raise questions about their framework, personal or professional difficulties, and relationships with patients, all with a view to developing their practice and professional positioning. Through an outside viewpoint, supervision enables therapists to unravel their blind spots, to question their practice, and to realize the unconscious movements at play in their sessions.

These exchanges between practitioners are invaluable. Through the echo of different therapeutic dynamics, they are instructive and formative. Indeed, the multiplicity of cases studied, the wide variety of experiences and the work on particular themes all strengthen practice. For all therapists, who are in a position of responsibility, this means adjusting the quality of their work vis-à-vis their clients and deepening their knowledge.

Some of the answers given by professionals about their participation in these groups: "ongoing training", "a place to listen and distance oneself", "a place to refocus", "a space to share, without judgment", "a time to unload and step back", "clinical reflection that takes transference and counter-transference into account", "support for the conduct of therapy", "theoretical and practical training to question the therapist's place"...
