A little history

70'S

In the 1970s, a few people organized into a self-managed group, with a passion for personal development and research, brought various specialists in new evolutionary methods to the South of France.
Then, wishing to structure their knowledge in a more systematic way, they invited Gerda BOYESEN, who teaches and practices in London, and her international team to teach them Biodynamic Psychology, a transformative method that is both gentle and powerful
, for three and a half years.

1982

In 1982, Christiane and François LEWIN founded the Centre de Psychologie Biodynamique in Montpellier, where they practice body-psychotherapy and teach biodynamic massage and self-regulation methods.

1987

In 1987, Gerda BOYESEN asked them to set up the School of Biodynamic Psychology in France. These two, in Montpellier, and Marie-Christine CHANCEL in Paris, set up two complete training courses in Biodynamic Psychology.

1991

In 1991, following the closure of the Parisian center, the Montpellier organization took over all Biodynamic Psychology training in France, with the creation of new groups in Montpellier and Paris, then in Lyon.

1993-1995

This was followed by expansion to Brazil and Argentina in 1993, construction of the Paris Center in 1995, participation in the Bio-systemic and Functional Psychology Schools in Italy, and the Reichian School in Greece.

2002

In 2002, the School opened a 1st training cycle in Brussels.

CURRENTLY

Currently, over one hundred students are training to become biodynamic body-psychotherapists.
Each year, depending on the graduating class, we certify between 15 and 30 therapists.
In 1992, the biodynamic community created a national professional association (APPB) for the purposes of exchange and research. It organizes regional meetings and an annual symposium.
